The Douglas DC-7 is a four engine propeller-driven long range freighter. At IAR we have historically operated DC-7s in the following roles:
- Aerial Sprayer
- Aerial Firefighter
- Long Range Transport
IAR currently has one airworthy DC-7B. This historic aircraft, which last served in the aerial firefighting role, is currently undergoing demodification and will soon be back to its original transport configuration. Once demodification is complete in early 2010, the aircraft will be available for sale or lease as one of the most complete and cleanest examples of this historic type in existence.
