IAR is a major provider of C-130 support for aerial Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E). Our customers include NASA, U.S. Army, USAF Research Lab, NAVAIR, and DARPA as well as various private sector firms. With the ability to lift over 30,000 pounds of cargo to an altitude of over 25,000 feet, the C-130 is uniquely suited to perform a wide variety of aerial RDT&E. The large climate controlled cargo bay/work area, abundant sources of electrical power, and ability to remain airborne for over 9 hours mean our RDT&E customers enjoy unmatched mission flexibility and efficiency. This means that IAR customers have a higher probability of achieving desired test results and data collection with fewer test flights. Increased efficiency during RDT&E missions translates into reduced expenses and fewer potential complications associated with repeated test flights required when less capable RDT&E platforms are used.
In order to provide our customers with the utmost confidence that their sensitive RDT&E projects remain protected, IAR ensures that all flight crew members undergo periodic background investigations and hold a current DoD Contractor Security Clearance.
